Los Gatos Homes for Sale
Founded in the 1850s, Los Gatos is a charming small city with a population of around 30,000. However, it has a rich history and plenty of attractions, such as hiking, biking, wine tasting, yoga, and more, making it an excellent place to live.
At the 150-acre Vasona Lake County Park, you can bike, fish, picnic, and walk your dog (on a leash). The park has public and servable picnic tables and 45 acres dedicated to outdoor activities, such as soccer. Spring through fall, paddleboats, and rowboats are available to rent, and every Saturday in June and July, there is a free concert known as Vasona Vibrations. The local school district is one of the best in the Bay Area.

The Town of Los Gatos is nestled at the base of the Sierra Azules and is located approximately 60 miles south of San Francisco, in the southwestern portion of Santa Clara County where the Santa Clara Valley meets the lower slopes of the Santa Cruz Mountains.
Los Gatos prides itself as a self-contained community. Over 3,000 businesses serve the residents and act as a destination point for visitors who are attracted to its restaurants, hotels, and variety of shops within a pedestrian-oriented downtown setting. The Town is also an inclusive community with a full mix of ages, family sizes, and incomes. Los Gatos has many parks and greenbelt areas, as well as a vibrant downtown area.
Los Gatos-Saratoga Community Education and Recreation was formed in 1956 by the Los Gatos-Saratoga Union High School District. Commonly known as “LGS Recreation”, the department was re-organized by the three local school districts as a separate joint powers agency to ensure the effective and efficient provision of community education and recreation services to the communities of Los Gatos, Saratoga, Monte Sereno, and Mountain communities.
